All manuscripts submitted to the editorial office (revista.germanistischebeitrage@ulbsibiu.ro) are reviewed for compliance with scientific and ethical standards and are evaluated through a double-blind peer-review process. The journal provides its own guidelines for manuscript preparation. Submitted manuscripts must include author information (academic title/institution, contact details), an abstract, keywords, and an English translation of the title. Responsibility for the content of the contributions lies exclusively with the authors.
The editorial team checks whether the topic of the submission fits the profile of the journal and whether the formal, content-related, and linguistic requirements are met (including plagiarism checks, avoidance of conflicts of interest, compliance with copyright law, and the prevention of formulations that could harm individuals or social groups). Articles that do not meet the quality criteria or that have already been published (in other languages) or show substantial content overlap are rejected without peer review.
All submissions are forwarded to two independent reviewers. The final decision on acceptance, acceptance with revisions, revision and resubmission, or rejection of the manuscript lies with the editorial team and the editor.
Within 20 days of submission, authors receive feedback by email regarding preliminary acceptance or rejection. The final decision is made after completion of the peer-review process within a maximum of 30 days. If a submission is accepted conditional upon revisions, the authors are informed of the review outcome and the deadline for resubmission. After acceptance or submission of the final version, the article is edited, formatted, and published within three months in early November (online and in print).
